Starpery has announced a new round of product updates covering materials, appearance options, body weight, and the optional heating function. These updates apply to the latest WR4.2 generation, which builds on the previous WR4.0 design.
The main focus of the WR4.2 upgrade is improved realism, softness, comfort, and body stability. Below, we have explained the key changes so customers know what to expect before placing an order.
1. WR4.2 Material Upgrade & Weight Adjustment
Starpery has fully optimised the foam, silicone materials, and internal skeleton used in the WR4.2 range.
Compared with WR4.0, the new WR4.2 version is designed to offer:
- A softer feel
- A more realistic touch
- Improved comfort
- Better body stability
- A stronger internal structure
One important point to note is that the new-generation skeleton is approximately 1–2 kg heavier than before. This is due to improvements in structural strength and stability.
The total weight increase will vary depending on the body type selected.
For standard and slim body types, the overall weight difference is usually relatively small.
For fuller-figure and BBW body types, the weight increase may be more noticeable because these bodies require more material and a stronger structure for improved support and realism.
For most body types, the total weight increase is expected to be around 3–5 kg, including the skeleton upgrade. Some body types may exceed this slightly depending on shape, size, and material requirements.
Although the WR4.2 range may be slightly heavier than previous versions, the benefit is a more realistic, softer, and more stable body design.
2. Skin Tone Update
Starpery has also confirmed a change to available skin tone options.
The previous Black skin tone has now been discontinued and will no longer be available for new orders.
For customers looking for a deeper skin tone, Starpery now recommends Cocoa skin tone instead.
Cocoa is available for both silicone and TPE bodies and offers a more stable and reliable finish across different materials.
3. Heating Function Update
Starpery has continued to test and optimise the optional heating function across both WR4.0 and WR4.2 bodies.
Following this testing, the recommended heating element layout is now:
- Abdomen × 1
- Back × 1
- Vagina × 1
- Thighs × 2
This layout has been chosen to provide the best overall heating performance currently available within the design.
However, it is important to understand that heating performance can vary. Factors such as room temperature, usage environment, operation method, body size, and personal preference can all affect how the heating feels.
Some users may feel the heating is not warm enough, while others may feel it is too warm or slightly uneven in certain areas. Starpery has worked to optimise the system as much as possible, but heating performance cannot be guaranteed to suit every individual preference or every usage situation.
For best results, Starpery recommends using a blanket while the body is heating. This can help retain warmth and improve the overall heating effect.
4. Important Heating Warranty Notice
Customers should be aware that the heating system is sold without after-sales maintenance or warranty support.
This means that if the heating function is selected, it is purchased on the understanding that it cannot be guaranteed, repaired, or supported after sale in the same way as other product features.
We want customers to be fully aware of this before choosing the heating option.
5. Temperature Control & Android App Requirement
The factory sets a default heating temperature before shipment. However, this preset temperature may not match every customer’s personal preference.
The heating temperature can be adjusted using the dedicated app, but the app is currently compatible with Android devices only.
At this time, the heating control app does not support iPhone or iOS devices.
For this reason, customers who choose the heating function should make sure they have access to an Android phone or Android device that can install and run the heating app. This is strongly recommended if you want the ability to adjust the temperature after receiving your order.
Final Thoughts
The Starpery WR4.2 update is a meaningful improvement over the previous WR4.0 generation, with upgraded materials, improved softness, a more realistic touch, and a stronger internal skeleton.
The main trade-off is a slight increase in body weight, especially on fuller-figure and BBW body types. However, this extra weight comes from improved materials and better internal support.
Customers considering the heating function should read the heating notes carefully before ordering, especially regarding performance variation, lack of after-sales support, and the Android-only app requirement.
